Litmanen back In The Premier League

Jari LitmanenJari Litmanen is back in the Premier League, and he’s playing for Fulham.

The Cottagers snapped up Litmanen today on the final day of the 2007-2008 transfer window with Roy Hodgson taking Litmanen on a short-term contract until the end of the season.

While his time at Liverpool wouldn’t have been the the greatest (in terms of playing time) thanks to injury, Jari was still part of the treble-winning team in 2001 and he did manage to bag some helpful goals along the way.

He was signed on a free transfer by Gerard Houllier, left on a free transfer, but for a player who is still regarded as one of the top attacking midfields ever to play in Europe and one who turns 37 in a few weeks, it is nice to see him back in the Premier League, likely for one last hurrah.
