Gerrard, Crouch, Carson In, Pennant Out
Teamtalk report this morning that Jermaine Pennant remains out of the English squad to face Russia and Estonia later in the month (Oct 13 and 17), despite a number of good performances so far this season. I’m not complaining about it at all, but it would be nice to see him back in the fold given the way he’s been performing of late.
Included however are Steven Gerrard and Peter Crouch with Scott Carson also making the 27 man squad. Ex-Red Michael Owen has been included although he’s yet to fully recover from his groin injury. Injuries still lie with Frank Lampard and John Terry, both included in the squad through whether both will feature in both games remains a doubt.

Got something to say?

I’m glad Pennant has not been chosen to play for England. Although he has been much improved this season, I don’t think being thrown into the England set up will help his Liverpool career at the moment. I would suggest he is not the most popular player around the country and if failing to play well he could be given a rough time by the England fans.
I would much rather that he was playing so well for Liverpool that McClaren would find it difficult to leave him out.
liverpool is not very well in this seasons as it make many drow
