Liverpool Face Porto Tonight, Back To Square One

LIVERPOOL FACE PORTO tonight in the Champions League, right back where we belong. With Crouch and Voronin having started at the weekend against Portsmouth I would expect to see either a Torres/Voronin or Torres/Kuyt partnership to start tonight against Porto. While Torres is likely to feature, with Gerrard also back starting in midfield, injuries mean that Momo Sissoko, Harry Kewell and John Arne Riise won’t feature in Champions League action tonight.

It will be interesting to see what Quaresma can do tonight, his name long having been touted around the halls of Anfield this summer but he’ll be up against Mascherano in the middle of the park and a back line thats keeping Liverpool in unbeaten form.

We made a good start to the league campaign but this is different - totally different, as last year proved. If we’re to make our mark in Europe yet again then we’re back to square one tonight and need to kick things off once again.

I’ll be delighted though if Fabio Aurelio gets some time on the pitch tonight, such an up-and-down season last year with injuries. More on the team and pre-game news closer to kick off.
