Highlight of the half being Reina’s penalty save with Portsmouth awarded a penalty after Arbeloa was judged to have fouled Sean Davis in the area, a yellow card going Xabi Alonso’s way for protesting.

I wouldn’t settle for the single point in this game when there’s three there for the taking so I’m expecting to see each of Gerrard, Torres and Babel introduced in the second half to get an injection of pace and finishing into the game.
