Agreement Over Ryan Babel Transfer To Liverpool Expected “very shortly”

Rick Parry has said that Liverpool “hope to reach an agreement with Ajax very shortly” over the transfer of Ryan Babel having now been given permission to talk to the young left winger. This comes after it was reported yesterday and subsequently confirmed by Liverpool that Yossi Benayoun’s transfer to the club will also go ahead.

Babel’s agent Winnie Haatrecht looks like he wants everything wrapped up by the weekend though, which can only be good for Liverpool, with Babel due to report back to Ajax on Monday for pre-season. Liverpool certainly aren’t letting up anyway since the news broke earlier in the week so we may well see another two transfers into the club this week. Good stuff.

I’m ajax-fan and babel is a very strong and fast player who can played as winger or striker. He has a good shot and was one of the bigs stars from holland under 21 last summer.

He sure was, he did great for the U21s in the championship and it’d be great to see him at Anfield. There’s no denying he has a desire to play in the Premier League and Liverpool is certainly the better of the options for him at present instead of falling into an Arsenal team that can’t tell their head from their tail at the moment.

Got something to say?
