Gerrard Wins Sports Book Of The Year

Steven Gerrard’s book, ‘My Autobiography’, has scooped Best Sports Book (Sports Book Of The Year) at the Galaxy British Book Awards. Fair play to Stevie for it. I’ll confess, I own a copy of the book and have had it sitting beside my bed to read since, oh, maybe January… I will get there eventually.

Yet another crowning achievement for the skipper with the win. A boost also after he netted twice for England last night against Andorra. After England’s disaster against Israel at the weekend they needed to pull something out of the bag. Being booed off the pitch at half time certainly didn’t help matters but Gerrard’s brace should ease a few fears about the goal-shy English squad.
