Been A Busy Week!
A busy week has kept me away but here’s what I’m making of it…
- Steve Warnock off to Blackburn
Fair play to the lad, deserves first team football at this stage in his career and I don’t think he was ever going to see much further development at Liverpool given the presences of Riise, Aurelio and Mark Gonzalez on the left. - The Takeover
Wish they would really wrap things up. Interesting to see though that Gillet is back in the race - at least supposedly back in the race - but whether or not he makes an approach is another thing. If an offer is tabled I’m assuming we won’t see any takeover move for a month or two in comparison to the few short weeks it should take for DIC to finish their business and assume control of the club. - Peter Crouch to Spurs?
Get out and walk! He’s been linked with anyone and everyone who is looking to try and regain their season - well, so are we! He’s proving his worth too. If he did leave he’ll have proved a sound investment, I’d expect Liverpool double their money on him anyway but I’d like to see him stick it out at Anfield thanks very much. Quite fond of the lanky chap. - Jermaine Pennant
About bloody time he perked up and upped his performance a gear or two. Great day against Chelsea last weekend only now he’s set the bar for himself and it better not prove a one-goal wonder. His assists have been vital in recent weeks so hopefully he builds on it. - Xabi Alonso
Put that pen to paper fairly lively sunshine! - Transfers In And Out
Salif Diao - good riddance. No offence to the chap but its about time he was shifted out of Anfield. Its a wonder it wasn’t done long before this, or why he was even brought into the club in the first place. As for Darren Potter, it is a pity but what can you do. Some people just aren’t going to get their chance to go any further and he’s one of them, hopefully he’ll be much better off at Wolves. As for the new Dutch arrival - happy days. The Irish know that young dutch attackers give you a reason to fear, so I’m hoping for good things out of this one.
And of course - we bet Chelsea! Mind you, Chelsea are doing a good job at beating themselves up internally so hopefully there’ll be another few points to gain for us in the race to the end of the season, starting with West Ham on Tuesday night.
