Stop Robbing The Players!
First it was Jerzy Dudek, now its Peter Crouch. Will people not just leave the squad alone? Price one has to pay for the celebrity footballer lifestyle perhaps but nobody wants to return home after a game and find their house trashed, couches cut up, and your car robbed out of the driveway - whether you’re a footballer or not, its just not right!
Thats exactly what happened Peter Crouch (according to TEAMtalk this morning anyway) who returned home after a brilliant game against Galatasaray midweek to find that his house had been broken into and ripped apart and his car swiped from the driveway.
It seems soccer burglaries are on the rise; Jerzy Dudek suffered the same fate earlier in the year when he had medals and a whole collection of football memorabilia stolen from his home (and later returned); Wayne Rooney has his house ransacked in June; Andy Van Der Meyde had his car and his dog nicked; Beckham had his car nicked…. the list goes on and no doubt will continue to do so.
Still, its just not on!
