Football’s Dirty Secrets : Liverpool To Take Legal Action
The Premier League, the FA and now FIFA are in a bit of stir this week after BBC’s Panorama screening of Football’s Dirty Secrets, looking at allegations of bribes within the English game.
Liverpool’s involvement is based around the future of Middlesbrough youth player Nathan Porritt who was touted to a certain Liverpool official, as well as other clubs of late, by agent Peter Harrisson. Benitez, who seems straight as an arrow, thankfully says there’s no place in football for corruption. And bloody right at that! Its bad enough to see it happening in other leagues and happening in the Premier League, but when your own club is suggested and linked to the allegations then its a different story.
As such, the club have sought legal advice with the slight possibility of charges coming to any club named in the show by the FA or FIFA.
