A Few Years Left In Me - Fowler

Robbie Fowler is coming out fighting ahead of the arrival of Liverpool’s fourth striking option as he concentrates on his preseason fitness regime.

According to Fowler…

I’ve got a few years left in me playing at the top level. I want to be at Liverpool for as long as I can and if that means performing as well as I did towards the end of last season to get a new contract then so be it.

Robbie came on at half time against Wrexham at the weekend and picked out Bellamy with a perfect pass just minutes into the second half to set Liverpool on to their second goal of the game.

Making nine league starts since his return in January, Fowler has scored 5 goals but I’ve a feeling we’ll be seeing a good season from him this year now that he is firmly under the eye of Benitez. If he can build on the relationship he seems to be forming with Bellamy then the goals won’t be long in coming.
